Keio Innovation Initiative has made an additional investment in Modulus, a networked drug discovery venture that has established a drug discovery platform using computational science and technology to design molecular compounds that will serve as candidates for new drugs. Modulus has raised a total of 2.34 billion yen through this capital increase to further promote its own drug discovery research program, expand joint research with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, universities, and research institutions, strengthen its global R&D structure, including the acquisition of human resources, and actively develop its main business model, the early out-licensing business and collaborative business, which is our main business model.
