Tomokatsu Hongo
Hongo graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering at Nagoya University, obtaining a PhD in biochemical engineering.
He worked at Summit Pharmaceuticals International Corporation overseeing VC funds, investments in bio-ventures, and managing domestic sales for overseas bio-ventures in Japan.
In 2016, Hongo joined KII as a corporate officer as well as a lead investor specializing in the medical healthcare field. Utilizing his business experience and career as a researcher in the pharmaceutical industry, he oversees investments in startups dealing with drug discovery and regenerative medicine, and investments in and support for the activities of medical device startups.
