Satake graduated from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Osaka University and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of Tokyo.
He was engaged in management consulting for domestic and foreign companies at EY Strategy and Consulting Co., Ltd.​ ​
Throughout his career, he has tackled various management issues such as management strategy, new business planning, R&D strategy, and M&A, mainly for pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, and healthcare companies such as medical institutions.
In 2021, Satake joined KII as a venture capitalist specializing in the medical healthcare field.
